Configure Azure Data Lake

Continue setting up the database Source by creating a temporary staging location

Both Polybase and SQL Select modes require intermediate storage for Parquet files in ADLS Gen2 before ingestion into Fabric Warehouse.

At the bottom of the Connection screen, you can set the Synapse connection to Azure Data Lake.

• Enter the ADL Gen2 storage URL.

• Provide SAS token or configure Managed Identity.

  • AAD Managed Identity

  • SAS (Shared Access Signature)

  • Connection string (not recommended)

• Specify Container and Database folder for storing the Parquet files.

Save to Favorites

Save any settings to Favorites for easy reuse in the future. You can find the Favorites menu in the upper right of the setup display.

Save your current settings or use the drop-down menu to choose a previously saved setting.

Click Next in the Project panel to continue.
